with a carbon content ranging from 0.50% to 1.70%, which can be hardened
and tempered.Hammers and crowbars are made of steel with 0.75% carbon
content; cutting tools such as drill, wire tapping and hinge inges are
made of steel with 0.90% to 1.00% .The Strength and hardness are higher
than low carbon steel, while plasticity and toughness are lower than low
carbon steel. Without heat treatment, hot rolling, cold pull directly,
can also be used after heat treatment. The high carbon steel bar has
good comprehensive mechanical properties after quenching and tempering
.The high carbon steel bar is mostly used to make springs, gears,
rollers, etc
